The elevators will have new controllers, interior cabinets, ceiling, wall panels, and flooring, LED lighting, and stainless-steel bumper guard rails along with hoisting machines and ropes. The LED ceiling light will be replaced. Medical Emergency Services with card readers and a PACS system are included for service elevators.
Each elevator will be repaired separately so that only one elevator will be out of commission at a time.
VA Lexington: Elevator Upgrades
Apogee is the prime contractor on this contract to assess and upgrade four service elevators and five-passenger elevators at the Lexington VA Medical Center, bringing them in line with safety codes and to a higher performance standard.
