VA Cincinnati Elevator Upgrade

The project began with a thorough full elevator survey report, which included a detailed assessment of nine passenger elevators and one service elevator.

This elevator upgrade project was a comprehensive initiative aimed at enhancing the functionality and aesthetics of the elevators across four buildings. The project began with a thorough full elevator survey report, which included a detailed assessment of nine passenger elevators and one service elevator. The scope of work involved modernizing the interiors of the passenger elevator cabs, including updating the walls, floors, and lighting to establish a new campus standard that reflects a more contemporary, efficient design. Additionally, the service elevator was given a facelift, with refinishing of the existing wall panels and doors, complemented by the installation of all-new hardware. Significant upgrades were made to the elevator control panels and emergency phones, improving both usability and safety. The project also included the installation of PAC (Proximity Access Control) readers and call lights to increase convenience and accessibility for users. Finally, the decorative bronze medallions on the elevator doors were refurbished, restoring their original elegance while maintaining their functional purpose. This upgrade project not only modernized the aesthetic and operational elements of the elevators but also improved their overall performance and user experience across the campus.
