Silas George PE, HFDP

As the mechanical department manager, Silas works to improve the team’s collaboration and efficiency while creating an atmosphere for improvement and candor.  Additionally, as a registered Professional Engineer with 17 years of experience, Silas performs investigative site visits, documents existing conditions, checks for code compliance, provides design solutions, and responds to RFI’s and submittals during construction. He has worked on a range of projects such as chiller, boiler, and steam distribution plants along with various medical center departments such as SPS, Pharmacy, OR, Imaging, ICU, Radiology, Dental, Mental Health, and PACT Clinics. Silas is thoroughly familiar with ASHRAE 170 to meet ventilation requirements for healthcare environments and specifically VA facilities over the last 11 years. Silas holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from NC State University and is an ASHRAE-certified Healthcare Facility Design Professional.  

Most mornings, Silas can be found outside, whether rain or shine, hot or snow, working out as a leader of F3 Murfreesboro where he is better known as “Coxswain.” On nights and weekends, he is usually with his wife at a kid’s sporting event, church, exploring new places, or tending to their chickens.
