 Dorell brings over 25 years of experience designing innovative and sustainable engineering solutions. Passionate about creating resilient and efficient building systems, Dorell leads Apogee’s small project division, delivering high-performance designs that prioritize efficient timelines, smaller construction costs, and client-focused outcomes. 

Dorell is dedicated to fostering a culture of collaboration, mentorship, and innovation within the small project division and across the company. He emphasizes the integration of practical technologies and sustainable practices into every project, advancing the firm’s mission to shape a better-built environment. 

Dorell holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from North Carolina State University and is an ASHRAE-certified Healthcare Facility Design Professional. As a lifelong learner, he enjoys staying up to date with emerging technologies and finding inspiration in exploring the natural world.
