Cullen Keen AIA, ACHA, EDAC, SEPS

Healthcare Planning Department Manager

As the Healthcare Planning Department Manager, Cullen Keen is responsible for planning, coordinating and overseeing the medical programming and space planning of our healthcare projects.  Cullen has over 20 years of professional experience with a focus on healthcare design that ties operational efficiency, patient experience, and cost effectiveness. Cullen Keen believes listening to our clients and engaging them in the design process is key to effective and innovative design solutions. He has been heavily involved in the design of numerous medical office buildings, ambulatory surgery centers, new hospital campuses, and hospital renovations.  Cullen remains active in a wide range of projects at Apogee, guiding a team of planners to deliver results to our clients.  

Cullen holds Bachelor’s in Design and Masters of Architecture degrees from Clemson University.  He developed his healthcare and senior living background during his studies in Clemson University’s Architecture + Health graduate program. This combination of field experience with academic rigor has provided Cullen with practical and theoretical understanding of healthcare environments. Cullen is board certified by the American College of Healthcare Architects for his knowledge of healthcare design requirements. 

Outside the office, Cullen enjoys cooking, baking, and spending time with his large family.
