Charles G. Sowders III PE, LEED GA

Mr. Sowders, Executive Vice President at Apogee, has achieved over 38 years of experience in cross-discipline project management, strategic business planning, and engineering design of electrical systems. Extensively experienced in the role of executive leadership, lead engineer, and project management, he has performed these roles for a variety of projects involving healthcare renovations, medical campus infrastructure improvements, electrical power distribution and generation, grounding, lighting, and industrial machine controls. As Executive VP, Mr. Sowders oversees several departments including Accounting, Business Development, Marketing, Human Resources, and IT.

Projects that have benefited from his services include healthcare for VA hospitals, multi-family residential, universities, churches, restaurants, retail, commercial office buildings, warehouses, hotels, industrial facilities, municipal, and telecommunication facilities. Mr. Sowders’ major strengths include leadership, collaboration, and planning. 

Outside of the office, he and his wife enjoy visiting the grandchildren and taking weekend getaways to warmer climates. The rest of his leisure time is spent on the golf course, trying to lower that handicap.
